IRIS Is One Of The Most Recognizable Testing Methods For Tubes. The Testing Uses An Ultrasonic Beam Scanned Around The Tube ID By A Water Driven Turbine Probe Assembly. This Is Inserted In Each Tube And Then Withdrawn. IRIS Is Widely Used To Examine Heat Exchangers, Boilers, And Fin Fan Cooler Tubes. It Can Be Applied For Ferromagnetic And Non-Ferromagnetic Materials. This Technique Is Very Good For Detecting And Sizing Corrosion, Erosion, And Baffle Wear.
